Cat Eccles MP holds successful Pensioners’ Fayre

Cat Eccles MP’s Pensioners’ Fayre was hosted at the Mary Stevens Centre on the 8th November 2024. There was great interest from both local stakeholders and residents, with a large turnout.

The event was hosted by WeLoveCarers and attended by Action Heart, the Dudley Stroke Association, Living Well Taking Control, ABL Health, Act on Energy, West Midlands Fire Service, West Midlands Police Service, the Department for Work & Pensions and Cat Eccles and her full team.

Residents got the chance to get a full health check with blood tests on behalf of Action Heart and ABL Health, alongside useful literature and advice. Other invitees provided support and information for residents, signposting them to additional forms of relief they may be entitled to.

Residents all got a chance to talk to Cat, both as a meet and greet but also to pick up on their concerns and any urgent queries affecting older persons.

 Cat said:

“I had a great time meeting residents and getting to know more people across the constituency. I wish to thank all of the invaluable local services for attending, and I hope to reconvene everyone back together for another Pensioners’ Fayre next month.”

There will be a second Pensioners’ Fayre held in Netherton in early December. Details of this will follow soon.
