Ask a Written Question to the Government
In my capacity as your Member of Parliament, I am entitled to ask Government Departments written questions on your behalf.
I will be making this privilege of my role as open to you as possible. If you have a question you wish me to submit to a Government Department, please fill in the form below. If there is a large number of questions submitted via this form, questions will be drawn from a ballot at the end of every working week.
Question Specifications:
Parliamentary Questions are designed to obtain information from the Government. They must not:
- Be politically biased.
- Convey information or make an argument.
- Seek opinion, only information.
- Be seeking blocked information, i.e. discussions during Cabinet meetings.
- Be seeking information about an active court case or police investigations.
- Have been asked recently already. You can check if a question has been asked by using Parliamentary Search.
The ballot will run from Saturday to Friday every week, with the questions randomly selected and sent off to the relevant Government Department. My office retains the right to re-word selected questions to fit it into the parliamentary style.
To safeguard this form from people who live outside of the Stourbridge Constituency, we will only be accepting Questions from people who are on the electoral role.
